Camas On Wednesday, four applicants hailing from Washington, California and Idaho will begin an interview process that will ultimately result in one of them being selected as the next Camas city administrator.
The finalists include Anna Jatczak, assistant city manager/chief financial officer for the City of Lincoln, Calif.; Matt Morton, city administrator for the City of Cle Elum, Wash.; Nina Regor, city manager for the City of Cloverdale, Calif.; and Tonya Wallace, strategic planning and budget manager/financial services manager for the City of Boise, Idaho.
The four were selected from an initial pool of 70 applicants. Consultants from Waldron — a firm hired by the city to help with the effort — chose the top 10 applicants.
A selection committee, made up of Mayor Scott Higgins, Human Resources Director Jennifer Gorsuch, City Administrator Lloyd Halverson, retired Public Works Director Monte Brachmann and Councilman Greg Anderson, then reviewed the qualifications. Their picks were invited to Camas for the in-person interviews.
The interview process will get underway Wednesday, when the candidates will attend a social event open to the community from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Camas Public Library, 625 N.E. Fourth Ave. On Thursday, they will attend a breakfast event with the City Council followed by interviews with two panels — one made up of city department heads and the other comprised of local leaders.
