It’s party time
Planning a child’s birthday party can be a lot of fun. It can also be exhausting and time consuming. That’s why several local businesses offer children’s birthday packages, ranging from a fairy princess dance party to swimming and games.
At Papa’s Ice Cream in Washougal, owner Ivan Gering allows usage of a room which features a Wii and DVD player with a big screen, so partygoers can play games or kick back and watch a movie.
The cost is $20 for 2.5 hours, with an additional $10 charge if customers want balloons and decorative tablecloths. Organizers may bring store bought cakes, but homemade goodies are not allowed due to health code regulations.
“We already have six parties booked for January,” Gering said. “It goes quickly on the weekends.”
He said the biggest advantage to having a party at Papa’s is no set up or clean up.
