Kids can see nocturnal critters
An upcoming workshop will share information about bats, owls, and other nocturnal critters.
“Creatures of the Night,” a family-friendly workshop for those ages 5 and older, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, at the Water Resources Education Center, 4600 S.E. Columbia Way, in Vancouver.
Activities, lessons and a short excursion to search for bats will be part of the event.
The workshop, sponsored by Columbia Springs and Clark County Environmental Services, is free and open to he public.

Liberty seeks PTO members
The Liberty Middle School Parent Teacher Organization has several open positions for the school year. Meetings are the second Tuesday of every month at 1:30 p.m. at the school.
