Carl La Cour

Carl La Cour died Aug. 21, 2011, by drowning in the Columbia River in Portland, Ore. He was 45.

A celebration of Carl’s life was held Saturday, at Grace Foursquare Church in Camas. Brown’s Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas was in charge of arrangements.

Porter A. Newman

Porter Anthony Newman died Aug. 29, 2011, with family by his side, after a long and full life.

A memorial gathering will be held Sunday, Sept. 18, at 2 p.m., at 15209 N.E. Fourth Plain Boulevard, in Vancouver. Straub’s Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas was in charge of arrangements.

Donald A. Lewis

Donald Allen Lewis died peacefully Aug. 30, 2011, at his home in Camas with his family at his side. He was 82.

A celebration of Don’s life was held Saturday, at Lacamas Heights Baptist Church. Vault interment was at the Fern Prairie Cemetery in Camas. Brown’s Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas was in charge of arrangements.

Memorial donations can be made to the Lacamas Heights Baptist Church Memorial Fund.

Norma M. Carstens

Norma M. Carstens died peacefully at her home Aug. 26, 2011, in Vancouver.

At Norma’s request, there will be no services held. Her ashes will be laid to rest at the Cloverdale Cemetery in Boise next to her departed husband. Brown’s Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas is in charge of arrangements.

Karen (Railing) Cooper died Aug. 28, 2011, with her loving companion Lornie McCullough by her side.
