Sean Jameson, Daniel Levesque and Austin Webberley, all from Boy Scout Troop 565, were honored at a special Eagle Scout ceremony last Saturday at Camp Currie.
To achieve Scouting’s highest award, all three Scouts had to earn 21 merit badges, serve as leaders in their troop, and complete a major community service project.
Jameson and Webberley both built separate permanent structures at Camp Currie that included a tent platform with roof, fire pit, and picnic table.
Levesque built a total of fourteen 12-foot eagle/raptor perches in protected wetlands in La Center to help control a rodent problem in a small tree growth area.
The projects involved in-depth organizational skills, training, and leadership on the part of both adults and Scouts.
