Celebrations Davidson
Bill and Marie Davidson recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. The couple was married Dec. 8, 1945, in Portland, Ore.
They met in Portland at the air base, while Bill was on assignment for Army Air Corps and Marie was working on the base. They were married when Bill returned from a tour in Europe, as a P-38 pilot during World War II.
From 1957 to 1973, the Davidsons lived in Camas, where Bill worked for Crown Zellerbach. The couple has resided in Vancouver since 1976.
Their children are Jon and Julie Davidson of Castle Rock, granddaughters Carly and Darcy. Their daughter is Betsy Kennedy of Paradise, Calif., granddaughters, Morgan, Shelby (Matt and great-grandson Cooper) and Auburn.
To celebrate their anniversary, Bill and Marie enjoyed a small surprise party hosted by their neighbors, Ron and Addie Jensen. They also had a celebration with their son Jon and his family.
