Local residents Genny Billington and Jessica Hatton will appear in the Metropolitan Performing Arts Academy’s upcoming production of “Gypsy.”
It will be a family production, as both girls will be performing on stage with their brothers, John Billington and Cameron Hatton, and their mothers, Wendi Billington and Stephanie Hatton.
“Gypsy,” is the ultimate story about an aggressive stage mother who will stop at nothing to make her daughter a star.
The family takes a trip across the United States during the 1920s, when vaudeville was dying and burlesque was born.
It features songs such as, “Let Me Entertain Me,” “Some People,” “If Momma Was Married,” “You Gotta Get a Gimmick,” and “Everything’s Coming Up Roses.”
