CEF gave $25,000 in major grants to schools
Thanks to its annual fall auction and dinner, the Camas Educational Foundation was able to give out $25,000 to local schools.
Recipients included the natural helpers program at Camas high and Hayes Freedom high schools, Art Van-go instruction for teachers at Prune Hill Elementary, Dorothy Fox Elementary School, Helen Baller Elementary School, Grass Valley Elementary School, Lacamas Heights Elementary School, Quizdom Student Response systems at Liberty and Skyridge middle schools, Vernier science lab equipment at Camas High School, and a science resource center at Grass Valley Elementary.
The foundation is gearing up for the annual event on Saturday, Oct. 23.
Helen Baller sets curriculum night
Helen Baller Elementary School staff invites all parents of children who attend the school to come to curriculum night on Thursday.
Teachers will present grade level expectations and goals. Each grade level will make two presentations. Childcare is not available.
The first presentation will be held from 5 to 5:45 p.m. The second will be held from 6 to 6:45 p.m. The kindergarten presentation will be held in the cafeteria, first-grade in the library, and second through fifth grades in the grade level clusters.
