Henry Robert Waring
March 9th, 1952 – April 1st, 2024
Henry Robert Waring, born March 9th, 1952, to Henrietta Meredith and William Waring. Henry was raised in Camas, Washington with his sister Marie Jones. In 1971, he not only graduated high school, married the love of his life, Carol, but he also welcomed their first born, Angela Waring, and joined the National Guard where he served 6 years alongside his brother in-law Chester McKean. Carol and Henry soon welcomed their daughter Annette Waring and moved their young family to Washougal, Washington. Henry was a beloved Garbage Man for the City of Camas until 1996 when he retired. Henry was well known for his love cars and all things powered by a motor. He enjoyed camping, car shows, and cruising in his 55’ Chevy Nomad with his wife and kids, making many friends along the way. Henry enjoyed breakfast at Elmer’s and lunch at Mexican Villa.
Henry was loved everywhere he went and always enjoyed making people laugh. He was especially fond of being a grandpa of 4 and great grandpa of 7.
Henry passed at home alongside his beloved dogs George, Daisy, and Dolly.
Henry is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carol Waring of Washougal, daughters Angela Waring (Bre Yeager), and Annette Waring of Washougal. Grand Children Taylor Schommer (Morgan Schommer), Cameron Holmes, Madysen Foley, and Taber Foley. Great Grandchildren Aubree, Taelen, Braeden, William, Azelea, Jaxson and Liam. His mother and stepfather Henrietta and Robert Meredith of Camas, his sister Marie Jones (Danny Jones) of Camas, along with his nieces and nephews and their families.
Henry is proceeded in death by his father William Harold Waring, granddaughter Macee DeVaney, and numerous pets throughout his life.
