Washougal native Levi Kitchen finished fifth in the 250 class race at the 2023 Pro Motocross Motosport.com Washougal National, held Saturday, July 22, at Washougal Motocross Park.
Kitchen, a member of the Monster Energy Star Yamaha Racing team, took eighth place in the first moto and third place in the second moto for 33 points, 17 behind winner Haiden Deegan, who finished first in both motos.
“Super cool to finally race at home,” Kitchen wrote in an Instagram post. “Not exactly the result I wanted, but I’m happy to be healthy heading into the break.”
Kitchen now sits in sixth place in the 250 class standings with three races remaining in the 2023 outdoor season.
Jett Lawrence won the 450 class race to maintain his grip on top of the series standings.
