The Downtown Camas Association will present its annual June First Friday festivities from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 2, throughout historic downtown Camas.
This year’s June First Friday theme is “Unicorns, Rainbows and Mythical Beasts.”
“We’re excited to add ‘Mythical Beasts’ to the beloved ‘Unicorns and Rainbows’ theme for June First Friday,” Leah Nichelson, the DCA’s event and project manager, said. “We encourage people to dress up and have fun with the theme. Sasquatches, mermaids, yetis and more are all welcome. This is a great opportunity to explore downtown Camas and have a whimsical evening with your family and friends.”
The event will feature several family friendly activities, including free children’s crafts with volunteers from Girl Scout Troop No. 47503 at LiveWell Camas (417 N.E. Birch St.); themed face painting with Camas High School Key Club volunteers; photos with Sasquatch at Sweet Intention Gift Boutique (218 N.E. Fourth Ave.); and a mobile children’s museum courtesy of the Columbia Play Project at 334 N.E. Fourth Ave.
The event also features after-hours shopping, dining specials and live music throughout the city’s historic downtown and several art openings, including:
