Camas Days Royal Court nominations sought

The General Federation of Women’s Clubs of Camas-Washougal (GFWC) is seeking nominations for the 2023 Camas Days Royal Court.

Nominations of active, involved senior citizen couples or individuals to be named as Camas Days Senior Royalty are due by Friday, May 26.

Nominees should be age 55 or older, residents of Camas or Washougal, have a history of local volunteer service and be active in the community.

Nomination forms are available at the Camas-Washougal Chamber of Commerce office, 422 N.E. Fourth Ave., in downtown Camas.

Entries should include the name(s) of the person or couple being nominated, a list of their volunteer activities, and why the applicant(s) deserves to be named the 2023 Camas Days king or queen.

The 2023 Camas Days festival is set for Friday and Saturday, July 21-22. The Senior Royalty Coronation and Dessert Reception honoring the Royal Court will be held Wednesday, July 12. Tickets to this event cost $5 per person, and can be purchased by calling Jeanette Jester at 360-834-2354.

The Senior Royal Court also will be featured in the Camas Days Parade on Saturday, July 21, with a luncheon for present and past royal court members to be held directly after the parade.
