The Washougal Arts and Culture Alliance (WACA) has issued a call-for-artists for the 2023 Washougal Art Festival, to be held on Saturday, Aug. 12, at Reflection Plaza in downtown Washougal.
“We are thrilled to invite artists from all over the Pacific Northwest to showcase their talent at the Washougal Art Festival,” festival organizer Janice Ferguson said in a news release. “This is a wonderful opportunity to share your work with art enthusiasts, make connections with fellow artists and enjoy the vibrant arts community of Washougal.”
The festival is open to both “emerging and established” artists of “all mediums,” including painting, sculpture, ceramics, glass, textiles, jewelry and photography, according to the news release.
“All entries will be juried based on originality, creativity, craftsmanship and professionalism. Judging will also consider the expression of a unique vision and style, and the mastery over the artist’s chosen medium,” the news release states. “Artists are selected for festival participation by a jury of local artists and gallery owners.”
The festival will collaborate with the Washougal Songcraft Festival, which will feature a variety of performances by regional songwriters.
