Carnes retiring after 25 years of service; event set for Friday, Dec. 30
East County Fire & Rescue will host an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, at ECFR Fire Station 91, located at 600 N.E. 267th Ave., north of Camas.
The open house will honor ECFR Fire Chief Mike Carnes, who is retiring after 25 years of service.
Carnes joined ECFR in 1997, as a volunteer firefighter and worked his way up the ranks. Carnes took over as ECFR’s fire chief in February 2019, after serving as the district’s deputy fire chief.
