The 16th annual First Friday Camas Poker Tour & Game Night returns to downtown Camas from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 1.
The July First Friday event, sponsored by Camas Antiques and hosted by the Downtown Camas Association and a number of downtown Camas merchants, will also feature a new “Alice in Wonderland” theme, with “Alice” themed games — Flamingo Croquet, Queen of Hearts Card War, White Rabbit Dice, Mad Hatter Rollers — throughout the city’s downtown shopping district, live music, featured artists in downtown art galleries, children’s activities and after-hours shopping and dining at participating merchants.
Participants can pick up a passport and activity list at the DCA table inside Journey Church at 304 N.E. Fourth Ave. during the event.
“This event is going to be ‘curiouser and curiouser,’” said Carrie Schulstad, director of the DCA, quoting a famous line from “Alice in Wonderland.”
“The Camas Poker Tour has been a community favorite for years and years and we’ve added a bit more colorful fun to the event for 2022,” Schulstad said. “I can’t wait to see all the Alices, Mad Hatters, Cheshire Cats, White Rabbits, Queens of Hearts and other characters frolicking through downtown that night.”
