Latest News, News, Sports Several Camas-Washougal swimmers competed at the 2A and 4A state swimming competition, held Friday and Saturday, Feb. 18-19, at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Washington.
Camas High swimmer’ Nathan Kim finished seventh in the 200 individual medley at the 4A state boys swimming and diving championships. Kim also appeared to secure a top-five finish in the 100 backstroke, but was later disqualified due to a false start. He was part of the Papermakers’ 200 medley relay team with Tyler Torve, James Crawford and Shan Kim that finished in 13th place and the 400 free relay team with Crawford, Isaac Yim and Sahn Kim that placed 14th.
Camas’ 200 free relay team (Yim, Andrew Wade, Andrew Wessel and Torve) placed 10th. Crawford finished in 14th place in the 500 freestyle, while Torve placed 12th in the 100 breaststroke.
In the 2A state swimming and diving competition, Washougal’s Harry DeShazer finished in 16th place in the 100 breaststroke.
