Camas citizens appointed; Don Chaney named mayor pro tem

Camas Mayor Steve Hogan made his first set of citizen appointments to city committees this week during the Camas City Council’s meeting on Monday, Dec. 6.

Hogan named several members of the newly created Northshore Citizen Advisory Committee, including: Daniel Foster, Kimberly Lottig, Marlo Maroon, Rachel North, John Svilarich andVicky Wessling. 

The Camas City Council also named Councilman Don Chaney as the city’s mayor pro tem through Dec. 31, 2022. 

Others appointed and reappointed to Camas city committees and commissions included:  

  • Former interim Camas Mayor Ellen Burton, who was appointed to serve a three-year vacated term on the city’s parks and recreation committee;
  • Hogan’s 2021 mayoral election opponent, Jennifer Senescu, who was reappointed to serve a four-year term on the city’s parking advisory committee;
  • Matthew McBride, who was appointed to serve a two-year term on the Clark County mosquito control board; 
  • Kerry Ticknor, who was appointed to serve a five-year vacated term on the city’s library board of trustees; 
  • Joe Keller and Jodi Vaughan, who also were reappointed to serve four-year terms on the parking advisory committee; 
  • Marlo Maroon, who was appointed to serve three-year terms on the city’s planning commission; 
  • Geoerl Niles, who was reappointed to serve three-year terms on the city’s planning commission; and
  • John Nohr, who was reappointed to serve a four-year term on the city’s salary commission.
