A Washougal man was shot in the hand while riding his motorcycle in Camas on Friday, July 16, according to the Camas Police Department (CPD).

The 69-year-old man told Camas police that he was riding his motorcycle with his wife around 2:35 a.m. on Northeast Third Avenue when a possibly dark-colored Jeep Grand Cherokee from the 1990s covered in mud slowly passed him. The man heard a gunshot, then realized that he had been shot in the hand, according to the CPD.

The Jeep was last seen traveling south on Lechner Street toward Highway 14.
