Members of 100 Women Who Care Clark County recently presented $3,600 to the Downtown Camas Association (DCA).
The local giving circle selected the DCA as a grant recipient at the 100 Women’s first meeting of 2021, held online Jan. 13, and presented the money to the DCA on March 15. Carrie Schulstad, executive director of the DCA nominated the organization at the January meeting.
The mission of the association is to develop and promote downtown Camas by creating a vibrant social, cultural and economic center of the community, while emphasizing preservation of the city’s historic features.
“When the town center has a healthy heart, it changes the heart of the whole community,” Schulstad said.
Other nominees presented at the January meeting included Friends of Hospice (of) Southwest Washington and Clark County Special Olympics.
