Two Rivers Heritage Museum reopens Saturday

The museum, at 1 Durgan St., in Washougal, will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays

Camas-Washougal history enthusiasts, take note: Washougal’s Two Rivers Heritage Museum is reopening to the public this weekend.

The museum, located at 1 Durgan St., across the parking lot from the Pendleton Woolen Mill in Washougal, will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays, beginning April 3.

Visitors can browse the 9-by-4-foot model of the Columbia River Gorge, created in 2019 by Discovery High School students, check out the “All Boxed Up” display in the Carriage House, featuring vintage wooden grocery boxes from Camas-Washougal markets; and view the nearly completed Gathering Place at Washuxwal longhouse pavilion next to the museum.

Museum admission costs $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and $2 for students, and is free for visitors age 5 and younger as well as for members of the Camas-Washougal Historical Society. For more information, visit the museum’s website at 2rhm.com.
