Clark County Public Health is warning people who visited Stellar Hair Design in Camas recently may have been exposed to COVID-19 and should quarantine at home.
The county said Sunday, Jan. 31, it is not clear how many people may have been exposed. Public Health has said anyone who visited the salon, located at 106 S.E. Weir St., Ste. 2, between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Jan. 19 to Jan. 23, or on Jan. 26, may be at risk of having contracted the coronavirus. They are being asked to quarantine at home until 14 days have passed since their visit to the salon, and to monitor themselves for COVID-19 symptoms.
Clark County Public Health and Skamania County Community Health have not been able to identify and notify individuals who may have been exposed.
People who visited the salon during the possible exposure who do not live or work in a high-priority setting – such as long-term care facilities, health care facilities, food processing facilities or jails – may shorten their quarantine in the following circumstances:
- If a person who is in quarantine has no symptoms, quarantine can end after 10 days.
- If a person who is in quarantine receives a negative COVID-19 test and has no symptoms, quarantine can end after seven days. The person must be tested on or after the fifth day, and quarantine cannot be discontinued earlier than the eighth day. Even if a negative test is received before the eighth day, the quarantine period should still be a full seven days.
Anyone who has been in quarantine should continue to monitor their symptoms for 14 days. Public Health said if individuals do develop symptoms, they should isolate themselves immediately to avoid infecting others and seek testing for COVID-19.
