Seven Camas-Washougal artists will open their private art studios to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 14-15, for the inaugural Washougal-Camas Open Studios Tour.
The two day show is designed to connect the community with local artists, allowing the public to experience a variety of creative spaces and see where art is made.
Organizer Liz Pike, a Camas-area artist, said 2020 has created many challenges for artists, with most art events cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
“I love sharing my studios with the general public,” Pike stated in a press release about the event. “The Washougal-Camas Open Studios is designed as a self-guided tour for the public to safely visit a half dozen studios and see great art.”
Masks and physical distancing will be required to protect the public and the artists from contracting COVID-19 and to help stop the spread of the coronavirus in Clark County.
