Wreaths Across America coming to Camas
The national Wreaths Across America, an effort to remember and honor veterans through the laying of remembrance wreaths on veterans’ graves and of saying each veteran’s name aloud during a ceremony, will be held at the Camas Cemetery at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14.
The group is currently taking donations for wreaths to lay on local veterans’ graves. For more information, or to donate, visit wreathsacrossamerica.org. Send cash or checks made out to Wreaths Across America to VFW 4279, P.O. Box 579, Camas, WA 98607.
In 2018, the VFW 4278 laid more than 500 sponsored wreaths on local veterans’ graves. The public also is invited to help place the wreaths on the graves.
The Camas Cemetery is located at 630 N.E. Oak St., Camas.
C-TRAN introduces Washougal-themed bus
The Clark County Public Transit Benefit Area Authority (C-TRAN), a public transit agency serving Clark County, introduced a Washougal-themed bus at Washougal City Hall on Oct. 4.
The bus features Washougal imagery such as parks, natural areas, the Washougal High School state champion girls basketball team and more.
