Clark County Major Crimes investigators say the man found naked and in medical distress near the Washougal River last weekend did not die from homicidal violence and that his death “does not appear to be criminal in nature.”
Investigators identified the man as 43-year-old John Mullenmeister of Minnesota.
Mullenmeister died at an area hospital after being found “in medical distress” along the bank of the Washougal River, near mile marker 7, around 8 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 2.
An autopsy showed no obvious signs of homicidal violence. Police say Mullenmeister’s toxicology results are pending.
