Camas Public Library: The library board of trustees will meet Thursday, Jan. 10, at 6:30 p.m., in Meeting Room A at the Camas Public Library, 625 N.E. Fourth Ave. For more information, call 360-834-4692.

Clark County Parks Advisory Board: The board will meet Friday, Jan. 11, from noon to 2:30 p.m., at Luke Jensen Sports Park in the Bud Van Cleve Community Room, 4000 N.E. 78th St., Vancouver.

Washougal City Council: The council will hold a workshop Monday, Jan. 14, at 5 p.m., followed by a regular meeting at 7 p.m., in Washougal City Hall, 1701 “C” St.

Camas School District: The board will meet Monday, Jan. 14, at 5:30 p.m., in the Camas School District office, 841 N.E. 22nd Ave., Camas.

Clark County Council: The council will hold a public hearing Tuesday, Jan. 15, at 10 a.m., in the councilors hearing room, sixth floor, at the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St., Vancouver, to consider amending a portion of the Clark County Code related to parking in front of mailboxes. LIBRARY PROGRAMS

Camas Public Library: Simply Write, a writers’ support group, will be held Thursday, Jan. 24, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Page Turners, for fourth- through sixth-graders and an accompanying adult, is held on the first Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m., October through May, at Lacamas Lake Lodge, 277 N.E. Lake Road. Galactic Alliance, for teens in middle and high school, meets at 4:30 p.m. the fourth Monday of each month, from September to April. The Crochet Club meets every Thursday, from 3 to 4:30 p.m., in the teen room. The English Conversation Group meets on Tuesdays, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. All ages and skill levels are welcome. Teen Zine Zone meets the first Wednesday of the month, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Story Explorers meets the second Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m., from October through May. This program is for second- and third-graders and their accompanying adult. Read to Cooper, the dog, is held from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., every Tuesday and Thursday, and each reading session is 15 minutes long. “Make Me!,” a drop-in craft opportunity for students in grades six through 12, is held on the last Tuesday of the month in the Teen Room. Washougal Community Library: Voluntary Simplicity, a five-part series designed to teach about and discuss simpler ways of living, will continue on Saturday, Jan. 12, at 10:30 a.m. The adult book group will meet at 54?40′ Brewing Company, 3801 S. Truman Road, No. 1, Washougal, on Thursday, Jan. 10, from 6 to 7 p.m. Baby and toddler storytime, for children ages birth to 36 months, will meet from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Friday, Jan. 11. Friday games will be held on Friday, Jan. 11, from 2 to 4 p.m. Build it! will take place from 3 to 4 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 16. SENIOR CITIZENS

Meals on Wheels: Lunches, prepared by The Meals on Wheels People, are served at 11:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday, in the Washougal Community Center, at 1681 “C” St., Washougal. Meals on Wheels home delivery is available Monday through Friday. Volunteers are needed. Camas Senior Center: Camas seniors are planning their annual trip to Long Beach, Washington, for the crab feed, to be held Saturday, Jan. 19. The bus will meet at the Pendleton Woolen Mill back parking lot at 9 a.m. A donation of $5, which includes gratuity for the bus driver, will be accepted. Reservations are needed. Washougal Senior Center: The Washougal Senior Center provides coffee from 9 to 11:30 a.m., and Meals on Wheels serves lunch at 11:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday. On Mondays, at 11 a.m., the center hosts a food bank. Cribbage is played at 1 p.m., on Mondays. At 10 a.m., on Mondays and Wednesdays, the center hosts an exercise class, which also is held in Camas at 10 a.m. on Fridays. Billiards is played at 1 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays. At 11 a.m. on Tuesdays, the center hosts “Music with Jeffree,” and at 11 a.m. on Thursdays, “Music with Gabe.” The watercolor class is held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesdays. On Wednesdays, there is an exercise class at 10 a.m., gift bingo at 11 a.m., and regular bingo at 1 p.m. On Thursdays, the tai chi class (held in Camas) begins at 9:30 a.m. The center also hosts pinochle at 1 p.m. on Thursdays.

ART GALLERIES AND MUSEUMS

Second Story Gallery: January’s artist is Jennifer Neal, and she is showing her mixed media, watercolor and acrylic artwork. Second Story Gallery is open during library hours, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Wednesday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. Camas-Washougal Chamber of Commerce: The chamber luncheon will be held Tuesday, Jan. 17, at Camas Meadows, 4105 N.W. Camas Meadows Drive.
