A bilingual licensed massage therapist who speaks English and Spanish is drawn to work with senior citizens and cancer survivors.
Andrew Salmeron provides massages in his Washougal home studio and offers chair massages at businesses, as well as relaxation and therapeutic deep-tissue massages in area homes and at Touchmark at Fairway Village, a retirement community in East Vancouver.
“They relax,” he said. “Some of them probably don’t get a lot of visitors. They are thankful, and they light up.”
Salmeron, 54, hopes to provide his mobile massage services at other assisted living communities in the area.
Working from his home means no commute, and his overhead costs are low because he does not have to lease or rent a space.
