There will be no classes in the Washougal School District on Thursday, Sept. 6.

The district and teachers union have not yet reached a tentative agreement on educator salaries or class sizes, according to a district update on Wednesday, Sept. 5.

The district and Washougal Association of Educators (WAE) have met with state mediators from Public Employment Relations Commission (PERC) throughout the week, and will continue to meet with the mediators until an agreement is reached.
