Port to host grand opening of Building 18 Wednesday

The community is invited to attend the grand opening of the Port of Camas-Washougal Building 18, from 3 to 5 p.m., Wednesday, May 23, in the Steigerwald Commerce Center, at 4060 S. Grant St., Washougal (next to the Waste Connections transfer station).

Two of the six tenants that will locate in the 49,500 square foot building — iFillCup and Logsdon Farmhouse Ales — will provide samples of coffee and beer during the celebration.

Funding sources for the $5.41 million metal prefabricated structure included a $2.875 million federal grant from the Economic Development Administration, as well as a $1.7 million loan and a $300,000 grant from the Washington State Community Economic Revitalization Board.
