The 12th annual First Friday Camas Poker Tour and Game Night returns to downtown Camas from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 2 for Camas First Friday celebration. Camas Antiques is sponsoring the event.

The First Friday festivities, hosted by the Downtown Camas Association (DCA) and downtown merchants also include a ribbon cutting, outdoor live music, featured artists in the downtown Camas art galleries, kids’ crafts and after-hours shopping and dining.

Want to know more about the Poker Tour? Here’s how it works:

Collect a “playing card” from each participating merchant. Turn in the cards to the dealer at Camas Antiques by 8 p.m. and you will be dealt actual poker cards to match the number of business “playing cards” that you have. The more businesses you visit, the more chances for a great hand. Prizes, donated by local businesses, will be awarded to the five highest hands.

Other First Friday activities include:

A ribbon cutting at 5 p.m. for the new Mill City Brew Werks expansion at 339 N.E. Cedar St. Mill City Brew Werks have expanded the bar and 21-and-over dining space and will now carry locally distilled spirits and cocktails. They have added 1,750 square feet of space, 44 more seats including a 16-foot community table, 35 feet of additional bar space, and USB-charging stations near tables and bar seats. The new area will be open until midnight daily with a small plates menu.

Mesa, at 228 N.E. Fourth Ave., will have live outdoor music and an expanded dining area as part of their First Friday summer concert series, which runs from June through September.

Also enjoy games throughout town and free kids’ crafts at Journey Church, 304 N.E. Fourth Ave., including painting with the Paint Roller Mobile Paint Party; and art shows and receptions at the following galleries: Camas Gallery featuring renowned Native American artist Lillian Pitt, Attic Gallery showcasing the art of Arne Westerman in his memory and in his honor. They will be showing new paintings done in his 90th year, and Second Story Gallery featuring the show “Come Rain or Come Shine” by award-winning landscape photographer Steve McCarthy.

Liberty Theatre will present “Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid” (1969) at 8:15 p.m., as part of the First Friday theme.
