People with ideas for businesses are invited to attend “Startup Weekend Vancouver.”
The event will be held Feb. 3-5, on Clark College’s main campus, 1933 Fort Vancouver Way, Vancouver.
Participants will hear and make business idea pitches, learn how to create a company and meet mentors, investors, co-founders and sponsors.
The cost to attend the 54-hour event will be $100 per person. People who want to show up only for the final presentations, Sunday, at 5 p.m., will pay $25 each.
According to the event website, Startup Weekend Vancouver is part of a global grass roots, nonprofit movement of entrepreneurs who are learning the basics of founding startups and launching successful ventures.
Sponsors include Workforce Southwest Washington, TiE Oregon, KIND Snacks, iQ Credit Union, Clark College and Techstars.
