PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center has hired several new executives.

Ron Saxton has accepted the position of executive vice president and general counsel for the nonprofit Catholic health care system serving communities in Washington, Oregon and Alaska. In addition, Janet McGuire was recently named system vice president for revenue cycle and Jeff Seirer will be the new system vice president for financial integrity and controller.

Saxton assumes his role in an official capacity after serving as interim general counsel since February.

“This is an exciting development for PeaceHealth,” said President and CEO Liz Dunne. “Ron brings a wealth of strategic experience, wisdom and judgment to our organization, and his track record perfectly aligns with our commitment to build strong relationships in the communities we are blessed to serve.”

Saxton is joining PeaceHealth from the law firm Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, where he has specialized in corporate strategy counsel as well as transactional, regulatory and financial guidance.

McGuire has more than 20 years of experience in health care finance. She currently serves as the senior director of revenue cycle and regional lead for Ascension Health in Jacksonville, Florida.

McGuire first joined Ascension in 2010, and currently oversees revenue cycle operations for five hospital systems across four states.

Prior to joining Ascension, she served as the director of revenue cycle for Trover Foundation in Madisonville, Kentucky, the administrative director of revenue cycle for Knox Community Health in Mount Vernon, Ohio, and the director of patient financial services for Samaritan Regional Health System in Ashland, Ohio.

In her new role, Janet will be responsible for setting the vision and strategy to deliver revenue cycle services through PeaceHealth’s system services model.

McGuire’s first day is Jan. 16.

Seirer has significant experience in health care and finance administration.

He currently serves as the vice president of finance and chief accounting officer for Via Christi Health in Wichita, Kansas.

In that role, he spearheaded the creation and operation of a finance service center, centralized treasury and back-office finance functions, and he worked with the CFO to restructure debt with more than $80 million in realized savings.

In his new role at PeaceHealth, Seirer will be responsible for the development and implementation of financial policies. He will guide decision-making to preserve the financial position and performance of PeaceHealth and be responsible for operational and financial performance across the system in reimbursement, accounting, tax, payroll and accounts payable.

Seirer’s first day will be Jan. 30.
