Doomsday Brewing Co. hosts ‘Zombie Brewfest’ Oct. 15

The third annual “Zombie Brewfest” will feature beer, food and live music.

The event will be held Saturday, Oct. 15, from 3 to 10 p.m., at Doomsday Brewing Co., 421 “C” St., Unit 1B, Washougal.

More than 25 craft beers will be available for sampling. Other beverages will include merlot, chardonnay, Lil Rebel Root Beer (made at Doomsday), bottled water and assorted Pepsi products.

Herb N’ Roots Company and Doomsday will provide food options.

General admission tickets for the 21 and older event, $15, will include five beer sample tokens. Presale tickets, available at www.zombiebrewfests.brownpapertickets.com, will include two extra beer tokens. Each of the first 300 ticket holders will receive a souvenir glass.

The costume contest will be held at 7:30 p.m. Doomsday staff will choose five costumes from the crowd, and the audience will vote for the winner.

The top prize will be a $50 gift card to Doomsday, and the runner up will receive a free growler fill.

Live music will be provided by The Mossbacks, Guillotine Necktie and The Brinksmen.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Northwest Battle Buddies, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that provides professionally trained service dogs for combat veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder.
