Art from the Feather and Quill woodcarving club will be featured for the 29th year at this weekend’s Columbia Flyway Wildlife Show.
The showcase will be held at the Water Resources Education Center, Sept. 10 and 11. It will feature more than 90 artists from the United States and Canada displaying hand carved, textured and painted wood sculptures of birds, fish and mammals.
The event will also offer seminars explaining aspects of woodcarving, and wooden duck decoy competitions in a fountain pool.
Woodcarver Randy Martin has been a member of Feather and Quill for 21 years, and he’s excited to return to the event.
“The venue is wonderful for us,” he said. “We’ve held the show there for about eight or nine years, and it’s been great each time.”
