‘The Sound of Music’ arrives at the Camas Public Library

Amanda, August, Melanie and Sofia von Trapp performed several songs including “Dream a Little Dream,” Monday, in the Totem Pole Room of the Camas Public Library. The great-grandchildren of Capt. Georg and Maria von Trapp of “The Sound of Music” fame live in Portland and have recorded with Pink Martini. The local educational event, which included an opportunity for audience members to ask questions, was organized by Diana Fronko Larson, a Camas voice and performance coach. The siblings, grandchildren of Werner von Trapp (the character of Kurt, in the movie), signed autographs and had their photos taken with fans.
